TDS NI, the leading deposit protection scheme in Northern Ireland, has been presented with not one, not two but three awards at the biggest award scheme in the UK residential property industry, the prestigious ESTAS Customer Service Awards 2021.
All three schemes in the Dispute Service Group [the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, SafeDeposits Scotland and TDS Northern Ireland] were shortlisted, with TDS Northern Ireland being awarded the Best Tenancy Deposit Scheme in the UK for the sixth year running, an incredible achievement, and the overall Gold winner in the Best Supplier of the Year. Huge congratulations also go to Eammon Hunt of TDSNI who received recognition as one of ESTAS Top 10 People 2021.
The suppliers award is based on honest reviews and feedback from customers, and this is the sixth consecutive year that the Belfast-based TDSNI has scooped the top award for best in sector at one of the property industry’s most highly regarded ceremonies.
The winners were announced on Friday 22nd October by Phil Spencer at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. With attendance at over 1,100, the event was the first time that agents, brokers, conveyancers and suppliers have gathered since the start of the pandemic. Spencer told the audience “You’ve had to work incredibly hard, you’ve had to adapt your businesses, you’ve had to absorb considerable costs to follow the protocols and to enable things to happen safely. Quite simply delivering great service has never been more challenging so The ESTAS Awards for 2021 are the most well deserved ever in their entire 18 year history.”

The ESTAS honours the best agents, conveyancers, brokers and suppliers in the UK. The awards are powered by the ESTAS online customer review platform, which enables property firms to demonstrate the customer service standards they deliver for their clients. A record total of 9,500 reviews were submitted by property professionals across the agency, conveyancing and broker sectors.
The ESTAS Supplier Awards recognise supplier firms who have delivered the best customer experience to their respective agency, conveyancer and broker clients in 2020. Now in their 11th year, the supplier categories have become an integral part of the annual ESTAS competition providing a badge of excellence which is instantly recognisable by agents and highlights a supplier’s commitment to quality service. Only suppliers who use the ESTAS review platform are eligible for the awards. Reviews can only be completed by clients that have a used the services of a supplier for a minimum of two months. The reviews are verified by ESTAS ensuring they provide a genuine guide as to the service performance of the supplier.
